REGISTRATION & TUITION

MAD Institute offers registration for private lessons and classes throughout the year for students of all ages and abilities. The school year is divided into two general semesters - the fall semester which begins in September, and the spring semester which begins in February.

Tuition for private lessons and classes is listed on the packages page. Please note that the cost of music book and/or study materials are not covered by the fees. Private lesson students must also supply their own instruments except for piano students.

Private lessons enroll on a rolling basis throughout the semester. When registering after the first week of the semester, tuition prices will be prorated based on the week of enrollment.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

  • Payment in full or enrollment in a payment plan is required before a student is admitted to a lesson or class.

  • Payments may be made by cash, credit card, debit card, or check.

    • Invoices and payment receipts will be sent via email.

    • There is a $35 charge for any check returned by the bank.

    • All credit cards are accepted.

  • Accounts that are not paid in full by the first week of class will automatically be enrolled in a payment plan.

  • Late payments will incur a $25 fee.

DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS

Upon missed payments, a notification will be issued, and a grace period of 2 days will be provided. After this period, late fees will be applied, and instruction may be suspended until the account is brought current. Students with delinquent accounts may not register for succeeding semesters until the account is paid in full.

ATTENDANCE, MAKE-UP AND CANCELLATIONS

Students and faculty are expected to work together in maintaining a consistent attendance of lessons and classes.

PRIVATE LESSONS

All students are allowed two excused absences per semester. These absences require a 24-hour notice to be eligible for a make-up by the instructor. Students can get in touch by emailing info@madinstitute.org (Subject: Notice of Student Absence) or texting (929) 615-1284 to inform the institute. Any additional lessons missed aside from these two absences will not be made up. All lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be considered unexcused and will not be made up. Students should schedule a make-up lesson directly with the instructor.

CLASSES

Make-up sessions for classes will only be provided in the case of teacher cancellations or emergency school closures. By default, these sessions will be scheduled during the make-up week at the end of the semester unless otherwise specified. Please note that due to the nature of classes, individual student absences will not be eligible for a make-up.

PHOTO, AUDIO, AND VIDEO PERMISSION

By participating in our programs, students grant permission to Mad Institute to capture and use photos, audio recordings, and video footages for promotion and educational purposes. Participants who prefer not to be photographed or recorded must notify the administrative office in writing prior to the start of the program.
